Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Electronics engineering team is rapidly growing to support the development of Electronics devices use in support Aerospace & Defense and Space applications. EBAD seeks a motivated engineer for the position of Electronics Development Engineer, reporting to the Electronics Product Development Lead.

Responsibilities:

This is an opportunity for an engineer to design and develop electrical/electronic design concepts and implement concepts into finished working designs. Work from specification requirements, design concepts and inputs from customers and other engineers involving multidisciplinary activities.

Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, related field, or equivalent experienceMinimum 2 years of experience in a development environmentAnalog, Digital, or Mixed Signal Circuit Design ExperiencePower Electronics Design ExperienceCapable of performing design analysis and establish circuit level tests to establish validity of designs including thermal effects and contributions of tolerance.Design printed circuits, provide part selection, specify cabling, develop, or specify test methodsFull lifecycle development and integration of VHDL into different families of FPGAsRequirement’s definition, design concept, code and simulation, synthesis and place-and-route, verification/validation, and system integration.Prepare and present internal and external design reviews, PDR and CDR activities to demonstrate the design meets all specifications and customer requirements.Analyze electrical devices and assemblies for reliability and maintainability (R&M) design aspects.Provide feedback to the development team related to tradeoffs and issues regarding R&M.Assist in the preparation of planning documents and understand customer requirements and expectations.Demonstrated knowledge and experience with “hands-on” testing, troubleshooting, and debuggingProficiency with use of basic diagnostics tools such as digital multimeters and oscilloscopes and debugging toolsMust have excellent written/verbal communication skillsCapable of providing technical supervision and training/mentoring to lower-level engineers.

Altium Designer knowledgeCircuit simulation softwareCircuit board design & layout experienceProblem Solving/Root Cause AnalysisEmbedded Systems (PIC, MPLAB )Knowledge and/or experience with VHDL or Verilog
