Seeking a Design Technician II with expertise in soldering and assembling PCB components, supporting prototype development, testing, and repair of electronic systems.
Job Requirements:
Associate degree or technical certification in electronics, engineering technology, or related field
2+ years of experience in PCB soldering and assembly
Proficiency in soldering small-gauge wires and connectors for PCB assemblies
Experience with surface-mount and through-hole soldering techniques
Familiarity with IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 standards
Ability to interpret schematics, assembly drawings, and technical documents
Experience using diagnostic equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes
Knowledge of ESD handling procedures
Proficiency with SolidWorks
Preferred Skills:
Certification in IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001
Experience with automated soldering equipment or rework stations
Familiarity with CAD tools for PCB design and layout
Job Responsibilities:
Perform precision soldering on PCB assemblies, ensuring compliance with IPC standards
Assemble and modify prototype circuit boards based on engineering specifications
Inspect and test PCBs using visual methods and electronic diagnostic tools
Troubleshoot and repair soldering defects to ensure full functionality
Maintain accurate documentation of assembly processes and materials used
Follow all safety protocols and ESD procedures within a lab environment
Utilize specialized tools and PPE while performing detailed electronic work
Pay Details: $25.00 to $35.00 per hour
