Job Description
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to develop and maintain test set software for the testing of electronic components in Radar systems. This role involves developing instrumentation device drivers for new test equipment, updating existing software to address deficiencies or integrate new test techniques, and working with various engineers to prototype and integrate hardware solutions for fleet asset sustainment. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing test procedures for future testing of new features.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain test set software for electronic components in Radar systems.Create instrumentation device drivers for new test equipment.Update existing software to correct deficiencies or incorporate new test techniques.Collaborate with engineers to prototype, integrate, and implement hardware solutions.Develop test procedures for future feature testing.Work independently on tasks while collaborating effectively with a team.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a similar field.5+ years of experience in Electronic (Hardware) Engineering with a focus on test development.Proficiency in mixed signal hardware engineering design.Experience in software test programming for test consoles using MATLAB and/or HP/Transera BASIC / LabVIEW.Understanding of electrical lab test tools.Experience with mixed signal electronic hardware, preferably more analog than digital.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with RF products and testing.Experience with Cameo.CompTIA Security+ certification.Radar design experience.Work Environment
The position is located onsite at a naval base 3-4 times per week, working within an engineering development office and frequently in a test lab. You will be part of a division that includes over 100 engineers, supporting next-generation Radar work for the US Navy and Department of Defense programs.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr.
