Job Description
The Electronics Test Technician is responsible for conducting a range of electronic and electromechanical tests on systems, assemblies, subassemblies, and parts to ensure that products operate in accordance with specifications. The role involves applying knowledge of electronic principles to identify equipment malfunctions and restore equipment to full operation.
ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot non-conforming or malfunctioning products down to the component level using schematics and original specifications.Utilize hand tools, such as multimeters, voltage meters, and oscilloscopes, to perform electrical inspections and tests.Collaborate with engineers from development, manufacturing, and quality departments, as well as end customers, for testing and troubleshooting purposes.Work on a variety of products, including R&D prototypes, pre-shipment inspections, warranty, or return claims.Essential SkillsAbility to apply electronic theory and test methods to troubleshoot and diagnose electronics at the component level.Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics for electronics and electrical assemblies.Experience with electronic assembly using hand tools such as oscilloscopes or multimeters for testing, repair, or refurbishment.Skills in soldering, both Through-Hole and Surface-Mount Technology (SMT).Experience in electrical testing, such as hipot tests.Additional Skills & QualificationsAS Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Electromechanical, or a similar field.Experience troubleshooting electronics with hand tools to the component level.Familiarity with component testing, schematics, and electrical test engineering.Work Environment
The role involves spending approximately 75% of the time at an electronics test bench performing component-level testing on electrical assemblies and subassemblies. Around 10% of the time will be spent in calls or meetings to discuss project loads or learn about new products. The remaining 15% will involve working with engineering or quality departments and clients to improve product designs based on troubleshooting or testing results. You will be part of a team of 4-6 electronics technicians and will report to a supervisor. The role includes collaborating with the floor, quality assurance, customers, and engineers. There is a strong potential for career growth, including opportunities to advance to an engineering team.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Middletown, Pennsylvania.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
