The Electronics Technician is responsible for electronics maintenance of all machines, equipment, controls and physical plant facilities. This position also assists with maintenance, troubleshooting,and repair of mechanical equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Troubleshoot, repair and perform routine maintenance on all electrical equipment such as CNC lathe, drills and roboticsAssist with the troubleshooting, repair and performance of routine maintenance on mechanical equipment such as hydraulic pumpsPerform electrical maintenance work on the plant facilitiesIdentify and acquire parts and technical information needed for present and future repairsDesign and build electrical controls needed for various plant operations and document designs with electrical schematicsInstall new equipment and relocate existing equipment within the facilityPurchase necessary software applications; install and update software utilizing laptop to check and change programming logicMaintain a clean and safe work environment, adhere to all safety processesResponsible for general knowledge of any / all job-related machinery, equipment, and work instructionsOther duties as assignedPOSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Mechanical, welding and fabrication skillsMust have Electrical skillsAbility to read blueprints and electrical schematicsBasic computer skillsMust be able to effectively communicate orally and in writingSolving practical problemsWork under tight deadlinesDetail orientedMust be willing to work any shift deemed by managementMust be willing to work overtime on short notice and be available for on call as neededMust be willing to travel and attend job related training per managementEXPERIENCE
2-5 years’ experienceMinimum 5 years’ repair experience troubleshooting PLCs, CNCs, PCs, A/C, D/C drives and rotatingequipment will be accepted in lieu of 2 yr. technical degreeFollowing receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.
