Summary This ELECTRONIC INTEGRATED SYSTEMS MECHANIC position is located in the Electronics Branch of an Army Aviation Support Facility (AASF), Army Aviation Flight Activity (AAFA), or Theatre Aviation Sustainment Maintenance Group (TASMG) and is part of the CA AASF Stockton. Responsibilities THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION The primary purpose of the ELECTRONIC INTEGRATED SYSTEMS MECHANIC, WG-2610-12, is to perform work involved in installing, troubleshooting, repairing, modifying, calibrating, aligning, and maintaining the complete electronic integrated systems on Army National Guard helicopters. May make additional selections within 90 days of eligible(s) issuance. Requirements Conditions of Employment CALIFORNIA NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in the California National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Military technicians must be assigned to a military position in the same unit which they are employed or, in a unit that is supported by the employing activity. AREA I= Current California National Guard employees who are serving on a Permanent/Indefinite/Temporary appointment. Military Grades: E-4 through E-6 Recruitment/Relocation Recruitment/Relocation Incentive IS NOT authorized. PCS Relocation Costs IS NOT authorized based on determination that Permanent Change of Station (PCS) move is not in the Government best interest. Must maintain appropriate level of security clearance. Must wear appropriate military uniform including required grooming standards. Must maintain a compatible military unit, grade and job assignment as required by current directives. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. Qualifications General Experience: Must possess a validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade. ELECTRONIC INTEGRATED SYSTEMS MECHANIC, WG-2610-12: Must have at least 18 months experience performing electronic integrated system work activities on Army National Guard helicopters such as, installing, troubleshooting, repairing, modifying, calibrating, aligning, and maintaining these systems; Experience in isolating unusual malfunctions using technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams, tools and test equipment including automatic test equipment; Experience testing and troubleshooting solid state electronic assemblies and subassemblies such as, circuit cards, modules, rate gyros, electronic control amplifiers, electro-mechanical assemblies, random access memories, programmable read-only memories and various integrated circuits; Experience performing operational checks, inspections, tests, and troubleshooting on electronic integrated systems composed of a number of sensor subsystems; Experience conducting operational checks, inspections, tests and troubleshooting of Line Replaceable Units (LRU); Experience maintaining, modifying, calibrating and inspecting a wide variety of user tests, measurements, and diagnostic equipment; Skilled in completing bench checks, testing, repairs, inspections, modifications, programming, reprogramming, mating, adjusting, alignments, and analyzing of LRU's and shop replaceable units; Experience using a variety of equipment to test and troubleshoot solid state electronic assemblies and subassemblies; Experience certifying the operational integrity of various night vision systems, and electro-optical components; Skilled in recognizing methods to improve equipment performance, technical data, and maintenance procedures by reporting hardware and software malfunctions, initiates material deficiency reports both on equipment and in technical data; Experience providing instructional training to other mechanics in regard to the repair of computer controlled automatic test equipment, line replaceable units and aircraft integrated systems.
