Location: Onsite in Runcorn

What you will be doing:

Conduct BOM scrubs of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) to identify components nearing obsolescence or marked as Not Recommended for New Design (NRND).

Research and suggest suitable replacement components and potential design updates to improve board sustainability.

Convert legacy instrument schematic diagrams from ProE to Creo Schematic software, including the creation of new components, wire and cable spools, and updated part numbers.

Support execution of pre-approved subsystem and system-level Verification Protocols for projects such as the Gemini SB6 update, Histostar board update, or Cytospin Child card update.

Qualifications Needed:

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.

Basic understanding of engineering principles and practices.

Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., CAD for mechanical tasks; schematic/circuit design tools for electronic tasks).

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
