Electronic Design Engineer

This role is eligible for hybrid work, 4 days in office 1 at home.

In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Design and develop FPGA-based solutions for various applications, including signal processing, communications, and control systems. Implement complex algorithms and functionality in FPGA hardware using VHDL, Verilog, or System Verilog. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software engineers, and system architects, to define system requirements and specifications. Conduct FPGA synthesis, place and route, and timing analysis to optimize performance and meet design constraints. Debug and troubleshoot FPGA designs using simulation tools and hardware debugging tools. Collaborate with firmware/software engineers to integrate FPGA designs into larger system architectures. Stay up-to-date with the latest FPGA technologies, tools, and methodologies to continuously improve design practices and processes. Document design specifications, test plans, and results to ensure thoroughness and traceability throughout the development lifecycle. Build automation test framework to accelerate development and ensure product reliability Work with 3rd party IP suppliers to define and integrate solutions

For This Role You Will Need:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related STEM degree AND 3 or more years of experience  OR Master’s Degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related STEM degree AND 2 or more years of experience Hands-on experience with FPGA design, such as Lattice MachXO3 and iCE40 Proficiency in hardware description languages (VHDL or Verilog). Experience with FPGA-based embedded systems, high-speed interfaces (e.g., PCIe, Ethernet), and memory architectures. Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

Experience architecting and designing embedded real-time applications Experience with programming ARM microprocessors Understanding or experience with Process Control or Distributed Control Systems Experience with developing software or hardware using Agile/scrum methodology
