Job DescriptionThe Electronic Communications Testing Analyst supports multiple regulated entities within U.S. Bank in the surveillance of electronic communications, with a focus on surveillance rule enhancements and additional testing (transactional and other). The role contributes to the organization’s culture of compliance through ongoing risk mitigation efforts, and by influencing business practices that minimize regulatory, financial and reputational risk. The role will uphold applicable policies for the supported entities and will support ongoing internal and external audit requests in coordination with the Centralized Communications Team Leader.
Job expectations include conducting testing and surveillance rule enhancements. This individual is expected to work independently or with minimal guidance, while keeping the Electronic Communications Testing Supervisor informed on significant matters.
Additional responsibilities include:
Review of applicable regulatory requirements addressing electronic communications changes impacting regulated entities.
Partnering with stakeholders to properly investigate/escalate potential issues.
Maintaining strong working relationships with stakeholders to understand business needs so the review team is best positioned to identify potential issues through the lens of applicable policies and procedures.
Coordinating with the Centralized Communications review team to gain feedback on necessary enhancements to existing rules or determine when new rules need created within each compliance division (control environment).
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Typically more than three years of applicable experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Maintain a high level of knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements in play for each regulated entity.
- Three years or more experience in the financial services industry, including at least three years of direct experience with an SEC-registered investment adviser or broker dealer.
- Securities licenses preferred (i.e., FINRA Series 7, 24) or similar expertise working directly with regulated businesses.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail, adaptive person, and team player.
- Analytical, and initiative-taking
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficient experience using Microsoft Office suite products.
- Preferred familiarity with surveillance tools, (i.e., Proofpoint Supervision, Patrol, Seismic, etc.)
**The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.**

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role.
