Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanic to join our team. The position involves performing facility Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) work on all manufacturing equipment, including installation, programming, troubleshooting, and repair of PLCs. Proactive maintenance of all plant electrical systems and electronics is crucial. This role requires performing any assigned mechanical and electrical tasks, with a strong emphasis on maintaining safety standards.
ResponsibilitiesPerform facility PLC work on manufacturing equipment, including installation and repair.Proactively maintain plant electrical systems, electronics, motors, drives, and power transmission systems.Troubleshoot PLC circuits.Design and assemble control circuits and cabinets with user interfaces.Analyze current machinery for PLC automation implementation.Troubleshoot, program, and specify motor drives.Maintain and service plant switchgear.Maintain a running log on barrel and screw inventory, changes, history, and throughput.Perform electrical and electronic diagnostics, repair, and installation.Determine when job scope requires additional support.Comply with all company policies and procedures.Essential SkillsAssociates Degree in Electronics or equivalent training.Minimum of 5 years of practical electronics experience.Strong knowledge of PLCs, with an emphasis on troubleshooting and program adjustments.Experience in industrial mechanical and electrical work, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and preventive maintenance.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with blueprint reading, conduit work, and AC/DC machine repair.Ability to troubleshoot and make adjustments to PLC programs.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment involves regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. Employees are frequently exposed to wet or humid conditions, fumes, extreme heat, and vibration. Occasionally, you may work in high or precarious places. The noise level is typical for an industrial setting. Physical demands include standing, walking, kneeling, and lifting weights up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $75379.00 - $84510.00/yr.
Medical/Dental/Vision – eligible on day 1
Vacation eligible first year (pro-rated); second year 80 hours (willing to negotiate vacation in offer)
Floating Holiday eligible first year (pro-rated); second year 24 hours
Paid Holidays (time and half for all hours worked on Company observed federal holiday)
401K matching up to 4%; annual employer contribution 3% (if employee contributes 4%, Westlake will match that plus the 3% they already contribute. Total of 11%)
Quarterly Incentive Program – earn up to 8% of quarterly earnings (includes OT)
Annual Profit Sharing up to 5% of annual base pay
Life Insurance - employer cover up to 2x base pay
AD&D insurance - employer cover up to 2x base pay
Paid Caregiver Leave – up to 5 days per year for Caregiver Leave (i.e. taking eligible family member to doctor’s appointment); up to 2 weeks per year for Parental Leave
