Electromechanical Technician
Job Title: Technician
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Technician with expertise in assembling parts from subcomponents for motors. The ideal candidate will follow drawings, work instructions, and in-process inspection requirements to ensure high-quality assembly of stator windings and related components.

ResponsibilitiesAssemble parts from subcomponents for motors following drawings and work instructions.Operate equipment to make subcomponents, such as winders, presses, and cleats.Cut and wind wire, insulate, and perform impregnation, buffing, painting, and testing of parts.Interpret part drawings and engage in improvement discussions with technical support groups.Participate in team efforts to solve departmental problems.Position and fasten units to assemblies and subassemblies.Connect and install electrical wiring and harnesses.Measure dimensions and clearances of parts to determine tolerances using precision measuring instruments.Test for mechanical reliability and inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure specifications are met.Essential SkillsUnderstanding of electrical theory and strong mechanical aptitude.Proficiency in using precision measuring devices such as micrometers and calipers.Significant mechanical knowledge and experience.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, complex assembly drawings, schematics, and diagrams.Effective communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Additional Skills & QualificationsMinimum of 2 years' experience in winding AC and DC Motors, generators, or coils.At least 8 years of related mechanical assembly experience.High School Diploma or equivalent with related training.Knowledge of AS9100 procedures is a plus.Experience with lathe, mill, and drill press is desired.Basic math skills, with algebra being a plus.Flexibility to work overtime and travel as needed.Excellent close vision and fine motor skills/manual dexterity required.Work Environment

The role is based on a manufacturing floor environment. Candidates should be prepared to sit for prolonged periods, handle physical activities such as walking, standing, climbing, and lifting heavy items up to 50 lbs. Protective equipment must be worn as necessary. The work environment requires good eye/hand coordination and the ability to work well in a team.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $33.15/hr.
