What will you do?

Under the direction of the maintenance supervisor, the electromechanic is responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance of the industrial equipment at the Siemens Drummondville plant. Here are the main tasks:

Mainly carry out maintenance, including cleaning machines on a preventive basis. Install, repair and adjust electronic, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic controls of machinery, automated equipment and/or buildings;              Use tools (hammers, wrenches, tappers), machine tools (lathes, milling machines, drills) handling equipment (hoists, forklifts, aerial platforms, platform lifts) and hot work instruments (welders, plasma cutters, fire guards), as well as precision instruments such as micrometers, verniers, indicators, etc.; Install, repair and adjust manufactured or modified equipment; Work off of drawings, sketches or verbal instructions;  Complete or make certain drawings, as needed; Determine the most efficient working methods based on the work to be done, under minimal supervision; Ensure the maintenance and cleanliness of the toolbox provided by the employer, as well as the tools provided by Siemens, in accordance with the policy and the performance of the task at hand, including a regularly updated list of these tools; Ensure that work meets reasonable quality and time requirements according to the task at hand, under minimal supervision; Assist colleagues in maintaining order, cleanliness and quality of work; Adhere to the provincial electrical code in effect and carry out assigned tasks in accordance with established practices and current legislation; Duly and systematically fill out all documents and forms required by the Quality, Product Engineering and R&D, Manufacturing Engineering, and Health, Safety, and Environment departments, at the required frequency; Perform all other related tasks as assigned.

What will you need to succeed?

DEP in electromechanics of automated systems, in electrical engineering or maintenance mechanics or the equivalent completed. A DEC in engineering will also be considered. DEP in Electromechanics of Automated Systems; or DEP in Electromechanics; or DEP in Mechanics; or DEC in Industrial Maintenance; or Equivalency granted by the Ministry of Education. Related work experience, minimum 5 years Very strong knowledge of electromechanics Strong knowledge of French (spoken and written) Basic knowledge of English (spoken and written) Ability to work well in a team, with autonomy and initiative Availability to work evening shift from 4 PM to Midnight -  Monday to Friday.  Evening bonus and licence C bonus applicable
