Electrolyzer Test and Validation Engineer
**DESCRIPTION** We are looking for a talented **Electrolyzer Test and Validation Engineer** to join our team to drive the **Testing and Validation Activities** in **Oevel, Belgium** **In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:** + Drive Product Quality: You’ll ensure Cummins’ products meet diverse customer requirements by validating functionality across applications and environments, directly influencing product reliability and customer satisfaction. + Shape Verification Strategy: By negotiating with DVP&R stakeholders and defining technical requirements, you’ll craft optimized verification plans that guide product development and risk mitigation. + Solve Complex Problems: You’ll investigate system concerns, identify root causes, and lead resolution efforts, preventing issues before they reach the customer. + Enhance Engineering Processes: You’ll apply and improve key processes like iDFMEA, ESW, and DVP&R optimization, using tools like Power BI and Integrity to support high-quality decision-making. + Lead with Accountability: You’ll independently manage smaller-impact projects or own complex components, taking full responsibility for outcomes and navigating ambiguity with confidence. + Mentor and Collaborate: You’ll coordinate technicians and student employees, sharing knowledge and supporting less experienced engineers to build team capability. + Influence Technical Direction: Your guidance will shape project decisions, and your growing expertise will help steer the team toward innovative, high-performing solutions. + Specialize and Innovate: As a recognized specialist, you’ll deepen your knowledge in a product or discipline area, contributing to both current success and future advancements. **RESPONSIBILITIES** **To be successful in this role you will need the following:** + Strong Validation and Test Management Skills: You must be capable of creating DVP&Rs and test plans, coordinating validation activities, and prioritizing test execution across teams and locations. + Analytical and Problem-Solving Expertise: Analyzing test results, managing failure incident reports, and driving solutions with engineering requires deep technical understanding and data-driven decision-making. + Cross-Functional Coordination and Communication: Success hinges on your ability to collaborate effectively with product, platform, safety, commissioning, and support teams, aligning test strategies with project goals. + Systems-Level Thinking and Continuous Improvement Mindset: You should be skilled in system integration, failure mode avoidance, and leveraging feedback from tests and field data to refine procedures, improve reliability, and reduce costs. **QUALIFICATIONS** **Education/ Experience:** + College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or appropriate STEM field is required. + Post-graduate (Master's) degree relevant to this discipline area may be required for select roles. + Prior Senior or Lead Engineer equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline area is required with a demonstrated track record of technical problem solving and quality decision making.
