Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a Electrocardiograph Technician to join our dynamic team at the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center.
Work Hours:
(8) hours per day from 0730 to 1600 Monday through Friday.All holidays are observed.Lunch or dinner meal periods: employees that works an 8-hourshift shall be entitled to two (2) 15-minute breaks and one (1) 30-minute meal
break.40 hours per week.
Requirements:
Be able to operate instruments used to record electrocardiograms, exercise tolerancetests, 24-48 heart monitoring and scanning, and pacemaker evaluations. Certification
is offered by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as a Certified
Cardiographic Technician (CCT).Be knowledgeable of typical patient reactions and signs of medical/physical/
psychological distress including ability to recognize report and treat potentially lethal
arrhythmias.Be knowledge of common ECG equipment settings and standardized operating
procedures and also knowledgeable of common errors and corrective measures.Have the ability to demonstrate proper ECG lead placement.Possess knowledge of medical terminology.Have the ability to modify procedure/lead positioning to obtain correct results with
patients with complicated conditions such as amputations, Parkinson's disease, and
structural defects (e.g. scarred tissue).Be knowledgeable in Operation Monitoring such as watching gauges, dials, or other
indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.Have basic computer skills. Must be knowledgeable with Microsoft Office Software
(e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook).
