CTG is seeking to fill an Electro-mechanical controls technician opening for our client in Morrisville, NC. Location: Morrisville, NC Duties: Perform electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities to ensure plant equipment operates safely and efficiently. Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, HMIs, and other electronic systems including Allen-Bradley and Siemens platforms. Respond to equipment downtime, complete emergency repairs, and perform preventive maintenance. Maintain software and hardware configurations; assist in maintaining PLC/HMI program backups. Support Controls Engineers in developing and executing projects. Engage in the diagnosis and repair of SCADA, MES, SAP, and machine control systems. Execute PM work orders, inspect systems, and escalate issues as needed. Assemble and test electronic components based on engineering drawings, schematics, or manuals. Read electrical plans and ensure systems meet safety codes and design specifications. Document all work performed and support ongoing process improvements. Collaborate with Maintenance and Production teams to prioritize tasks and minimize downtime. Provide technical support for industrial automation systems including ControlNet, Profibus, and Ethernet. Assist with the training of maintenance team members and educate operators on equipment use. Maintain system logs, perform regular safety inspections, and follow all plant policies and procedures. Skills: Strong working knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, and electrical control systems. Advanced troubleshooting of sensors, relays, drives, control circuits, and networking systems. Familiarity with SCADA and data interfaces such as MES and SAP. Capable of operating hand, power, and precision diagnostic tools. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to use maintenance systems on tablets. Knowledge of SAP Plant Maintenance preferred. Experience: Minimum 2 years in a production/operations environment. At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing involving batch, continuous, or discrete processes. Previous work with packaging lines and troubleshooting electronic components required. Education: Bachelor’s degree, technical college diploma, or equivalent hands-on experience. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
