Summary of Role:
GlobalFoundries Fab 9 is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Facilities Electrical Technician to become part of our Essex, Vermont team. This position requires operation and maintenance of Facilities electrical/mechanical equipment.
Essential Responsibilities:
Operate, maintain, and repair facilities electrical systems up to 115kV in compliance with all local, state and federal requirementsRead and understand electrical schematicsPerform preventative electrical and mechanical maintenance and on various facilities related electrical equipmentTroubleshoot and repair facilities electrical systems.Assist in the creation of operations and maintenance specificationsSupport complex troubleshooting of facilities equipment and associated failuresPartner with other Technicians and Management in identifying training requirements and safety procedures in assigned areasPartner with Engineers and Technicians on various facilities projectsPerform additional duties as assigned and assist other specialty areas as requiredPerform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Required Qualifications:
Education High School DiplomaExperience - Minimum Years 2 years in fieldSkillsCompletion or enrollment in the 4-Year State of Vermont Electrician Apprenticeship Program or equivalentCertified Electrical License (Apprentice, Journeyman or Master)1+ Years of Industrial/Commercial System ExperienceFluency in English Language – written & verbalPhysical Capacity Demands – Ability to perform work in a standing position for majority of shift (excluding breaks)Ability to lift, pull, and/or carry a minimum of 50 pounds on a periodic basis throughout the shiftAbility to perform activities that include climbing vertical ladders, bending at waist, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and crawlingAbility to work in a cleanroom environment per semi-conductor protocol/requirementsAble to wear upgraded PPE in accordance with Safety procedures, such as N95 Dust Mask or other air filtering devices.
Preferred Qualifications:
2 Year Technical DegreeDemonstrated knowledge of Semiconductor FAB systems and related equipmentDemonstrated ability to operate computer programs including Microsoft OfficePreventative maintenance software and automated building control systems knowledge a plus.Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks and required documentation.Demonstrated work performance in an environment requiring high level of attention to detail and timeliness.Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize activities.Demonstrated mechanical/electrical abilities with experience in maintenance and operation of equipmentStrong team player with ability to work well within a global team
Expected Salary Range
$46,400.00 - $80,100.00
