Apply Today! **GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** + Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes. + Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices, such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system. + Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment, such as oscilloscopes, ammeters, or test lamps. + Repair and install electrical devices such as receptacles, light fixtures, light switches, lighting ballast, motors, etc. + Assists in keeping building common and electrical spaces in a neat, orderly and safe condition. + Accomplishes work in accordance with blueprints and specifications, and national and local codes. Updates as-built drawings as necessary, according to department policies. + Attend Toolbox safety meetings and demonstrate safety competency in addition to any other recommended topics such as harassment prevention, ethics, etc. + Obtain an OSHA 10 General Industry Safety and Health standards certification. + Extended hours or weekend overtime may be available. **WORK ENVIRONMENT** The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
