The Construction and Facilities Management Office (CFMO) is the principal advisor to the Montana Adjutant General regarding all real property, facilities, construction, and environmental management programs for the Montana Army National Guard (MTARNG.) CFMO manages the sustainment and recapitalization of existing real property and the construction of new facilities. The centralization of the construction and facility management expertise in CFMO enables the division to efficiently and resourcefully support the individual missions of MTARNG, Montana Disaster and Emergency Services, Montana Youth Challenge Academy, STARBASE and Montana Veterans Affairs. CFMO manages over 1,600 assets: roughly 2M square feet of facility space and 32,000 acres of land. CFMO is seeking a skilled Electrician to support the department of Military Affairs and MT National Guard missions. *Duties include but are not limited to: * * Designing and implementing electrical components associated with new construction, remodels, or upgrades and review construction blueprints and plans; * Maintaining electrical distribution systems and components, including inspections, testing, and evaluations on new and existing electrical distribution systems and components; and * Performing related administrative work as assigned. Work weeks are typically Monday through Friday, with occasional travel. Must have demonstrated ability to work and engage in diverse working environments within and outside the department. First review of candidates will be September 8, 2025. *Minimum Requirements:* * This position requires a Montana state journeyman electrical license. * Requires knowledge of the National Electric Code, Uniform Building Code, and Hazardous Materials Abatement; fire alarm panels, frequency drives, lighting control panels, solar panels, and programmable logic controllers and warranty programs and repairs. * Must be skilled in the use of computers and computer software, reading and interpreting blue prints, plans and sketches. * Requires skill in problem solving and analysis of needed repairs to determine proper course of action, must have strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to prioritize and effectively use time management. *Education and experience:* * Completion of a four year electrical apprenticeship program and four years of practical experience in wiring for installing and repairing electrical apparatuses and light, heat, and power equipment. *Conditions of employment:* * Must have a MT Journeyman Electrical License. * Must be able to pass background and driving record checks. **Title:** *Electrician* **Location:** *Helena* **Requisition ID:** *25141932*
