ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPOSIBILITIES:
Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations. Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes and other electrical components. Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance. Maintain, repair, test, and install electrical motoes, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems. Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial, electrical, and electronic control systems and other related devices. May install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices. Entails working with a safety control systems, robotic cells, start-up, and troubleshooting machines. Conduct service and installs as needed on and off company facility. Strong knowledge troubleshooting and start-up of light curtains and e-stops circuit systems. Will be required to travel up to 50% of the time within North America, valid passport required.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude. Basic knowledge of PLC programming. Network configuration, set-up, and commissioning. Strong knowledge of safety circuits, control systems and robotic cells.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
Completion of a four- or five-year industrial electrician apprenticeship program or electrical technician program completion or working towards. A minimum of 3 years' work experience with live electrical components in an automation material handling industry.
