Electronic Technician

 

The Electronic Technician is responsible for serving as the plant resource for line improvements, line automation, realignment of product flow equipment and machinery in conjunction with Engineering and Maintenance.

Performance Expectations

 

Coordinate personnel in assigned tasks. Maintenance of all production and support equipment, facility and property. Coordinate the preventive maintenance program. Responding to emergency calls from production. Maintain all electrical systems, control systems, and equipment. Electrical equipment rebuilds, modifications, and installation. Process and quality improvements. Eliminate repeat problems. Reduce costs. Load management. Maintain, update, and develop PLC programs, heaters, and all electrical systems to improve controls and monitor all processes. Troubleshoot PLC programs, heaters and electrical systems as problems arise. Communicate follow-ups, changes & implemented improvements. Evaluate and respond to suggestions. Maintain a clean and well organized work area. Enforce all safety rules.
 

 

Credentials

 

High School Diploma or equivalent general education. Journeyman Certificate considered an asset. Electrical Technical Degree and minimum two years practical experience or minimum eight years practical experience. Previous computer, PM, and extensive PLC experience. Basic comprehension and experience in welding, hydraulics, and pneumatics Extensive control system experience. Able to read wire schematics and logic diagrams. Troubleshooting and process knowledge. Demonstrate programming skills.
