\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat will I be doing?\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

·         Respond to repair requests and perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment, and appliances.

\n

·         Maintain and repair all Electrical work in the guest rooms and all related areas in accordance with the preventive maintenance procedures and standard guidelines.

\n

·         Able to identify the faults and troubleshoot all electrical circuits.

\n

·         Carries out PPM assignments as per the given schedule.

\n

·         Understands all aspects of electrical safety such as conductor sizing, insulation, overloads, etc.

\n

·         Keeps the distribution panels clean and locked.

\n

·         Identifies and maintains circuit breakers.

\n

·         Maintain cleanliness in all the MV & LV rooms.

\n

·         Monitor and record all the energy meter reading.

\n

·         Follow all job instructions given by Shift Engineer or other Senior Staffs.

\n

·         Report any serious maintenance problem or safety related issues to Shift Engineer immediately.

\n

·         To thoroughly investigate each job as assigned to ensure that only the necessary spare parts are used and to avoid unnecessary wastage of electrical supplies.

\n

·         Follow up Company and department safety and security policies and procedures to ensure a clean, safe, and secure environment. Attend all departmental trainings and other training program.

\n

·         Report work related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to the shift in charge.

\n

·         Use proper equipment, wear appropriate personal protective equipment and use correct lifting procedures as necessary to avoid injury. Follow hazardous Material management program procedures for handling and disposing of chemicals etc. using material safety data sheets. Identify and correct unsafe work procedures or conditions and/or report them to Shift in charge. Follow policies and procedures for the safe operation and storage of tools, equipment, and machines. Complete appropriate Fire and safety trainings and certifications to perform work tasks.

\n

·         Address guest’s service needs in a professional, positive and timely manner. Welcome and acknowledge each and every guest with smile, eye contact, and a friendly verbal greeting, using guest’s name if possible.

\n

·         Develop and maintain positive and productive working relations with other employees and departments. Any job related complaints or grievances to be handled promptly with your Shift Engineer or Chief Engineer.

\n

·         To Display basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in the following categories:, Air conditioning, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, energy conservation, and/or general building.

\n

·         To perform programing of TV's and engineering-related inventory duties if required.

\n

·         Ensure uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.

\n

·         Emergencies – To be available for any emergencies and act in a professional manner to protect our Guests, Staffs and preserve the Hotel Property and its system. Follow Hotel Crises plan.

\n

·         To learn and carry out fire brigade duties when assigned.

\n

·         Communicate each day’s activities and problems that occur to the other shifts using approved communication programs and standards.

\n

·         To ensure cleanliness of work areas and protection of the surrounding area when executing jobs.

\n

·         Fallow duty schedule/Split duty and carry out any other assignment given by Chief engineer as business demand.

\n

·         Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and all utility shut-offs for buildings in case of emergency.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

\n

EDUCATION

\n

High School graduate or equivalent preferred.

\n

 

\n

EXPERIENCE

\n

At least two years experience as an Electrcian in a complex facility.

\n

 

\n

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES

\n

Ability to obtain any government required license or certificate. CPR certification and/or First Aid 

\n

training preferred. Any licenses or permits that may be required by law or company regulations.

\n

 

\n

GROOMING/UNIFORMS

\n

All employees must maintain a neat, clean and weel groomed appearance. Specific uniform guidelines and/ or required articles of clothing will be explained to you as part of the orientation process.
