Job description:

The holder of this position will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legal regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function. The specific tasks to be performed by the position holder will mainly focus on the maintenance of Overhead Cranes.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned maintenance requirements as per OEM Standards and work order completion.

Carry out preventive maintenance on all electrical components of overhead cranes such as VSD’s, PLC’s, Instrumentation, cabling etc.

Maintain excellent customer relations through frequent communication.

Prepare accurate service and repair reports in a timely manner.

Troubleshooting on complex control circuit circuits.

Understanding Proof Load Testing & load test preparations

Comply with safe working standard, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviours at all times.

Other duties as instructed by the Supervisor.

Qualifications & Experience:

A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience as a qualified industrial electrician

Grade 12 certificate

Craft Certificate/ Diploma in Automotive Engineering with a Specialization in Auto-Electricity.

A member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ)

Valid Driver’s licence
