Your opportunity

Dillon’s Electrical discipline group is looking for an Electrical Technologist/Engineer-in-Training to join our multidisciplinary team of professionals. You will have the opportunity to work on new and exciting projects while providing clients with a fully integrated and superior customer experience. 

 

This position is available at our Fredericton office. This position requires the person to be in the office five times a week (hybrid work arrangement and remote work is available on an as needed basis).

Responsibilities

What your day will look like

 

Design & Drafting

Assist Electrical Engineers and Project Managers with the design and drafting support for multi-disciplinary projectsAssist with the preparation of reports, specifications, and project memosAssist with electrical calculations including voltage drop, load calculations, short circuit analysis and Arch Flash studies

On-site observation

Performance of electrical observations, and inspections during constructionReview shop drawings, respond to request for information from contractorsCommissioning of on-site systemsBusiness travel upon request

Learning & Development

What you will need to succeed

An electrical engineering technologist diploma or Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineer  Registration as a Certified Engineering Technologist or Engineer in Training in the province of New Brunswick or eligible to be certified within six monthsStrong organizational and interpersonal skills Experience Two to three years’ work experience, however less experienced professionals will be consideredWorking knowledge of AutoCAD 2014 (or newer)Working knowledge of Revit as a Building Information Management (BIM) design toolWorking knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and related building codesMicrostation experience is an assetHands-on experience in the design and drafting of electrical systems is required
