Electrical Technician III

Position Overview:
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, installing, and commissioning electrical and instrumentation equipment, including motors, motor control centers, medium voltage switchgear, instrumentation systems, communication networks, and other critical electrical components. What You Will Do:
Ensure all work complies with company policies, as well as Operating and Maintenance (O&M) procedures.
Complete and maintain all required safety and technical training.
Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation equipment, including:
Substation equipment
Medium voltage switchgear
Motor control centers
Communication networks
Instrumentation systems
Coordinate with Supervisors, Planners, Schedulers, Technicians, and other stakeholders to plan, schedule, and execute work safely and efficiently.
Use work management software to document maintenance activities, update facility records, and revise drawings as required.
Maintain facilities in a clean, safe, and secure condition.
Perform one-call locates, prepare crossing reports, and complete line locating as needed.
Who You Are:
Journeyperson Electrician with Interprovincial Red Seal certification and a minimum of 4 years of related industrial experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Possess a valid driver’s license (a driver’s abstract will be required prior to hire).
Able to successfully complete background screening, including a 5-year driving record check, criminal background check, and company-sponsored medical and drug testing.
Working Conditions:
Schedule: Monday to Friday, with on-call rotation. Must be available for emergency response and overtime as required.
Physical requirements: Frequent climbing, bending, lifting, standing, and crouching.
Daily travel required within the designated area, with occasional travel within Canada.
Must-Have:
Journeyperson Electrician – Red Seal Certification.
Nice-to-Have:
Experience working with high voltage systems (4,160 volts up to 138 kV).
Familiarity with SCADA systems.
