Under general supervision the Electrical Technician I is responsible for electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics.
 

 

Responsibilities Installs and replaces lightbulbsPerform breaker resets, ballast and electrical wiringInspects and maintains primary service installations and power distribution systemsFollows basic electrical safety practices such as lockout/tagout procedureCompletes work orders and paperwork related to job tasksPerforms duties in accordance with departmental and regulatory safety procedures and standards Qualifications HS Diploma or equivlant, Journeyman Elctrician certification is highly preferredKnowledge of predictive and preventative electrical maintenance functionsKnowledge of electrical machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenanceProficient computer skills are required. AutoCAD experience a plus0-5 years experience performing basic electrical repair and installation Ability to properly use of hand and power tools Ability to perform electrical troubleshooting, install lightingAbility to prepare, install nd connect electrical wiring

Physical Demands

Must be able to climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffoldingMust be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at heights as requiredMust be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally more
