Electrical Technician
**Description** **SAIC** is seeking a **Junior Electrical Engineer** to join our team in **Huntsville, AL.** The selected candidate will be a member of a highly motivated team providing hardware/software development, integration, and test support to the Systems Simulation, Software, and Integration (S3I) Directorate. **Job Responsibilities:** + Activities will include support of development, testing, and integration of special purpose electronics and cabling of launch vehicles, communications platforms, and rocket systems + Perform circuit design, analysis, simulation and component selection according to electrical/electronic hardware requirements + Perform initial build of prototype printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies + Build complex tactical cables with heat shrink jackets + Apply basic electronics engineering knowledge and practical experience in one or more of the following areas: + Cable/Harness Assembly to Class 3 + Prototype layout and assembly of boards + Assemble quick turn test assets + Familiar with Circular military connectors, wire and PCB components + Support all lab functions including military vehicle testing, building test assets, class 3 tactical cables, and precision measurement **Qualifications** **Education Requirements:** + Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related and zero (0) years' experience; Four (4) years' of additional related work experience can be considered in lieu of degree **Clearance Requirements:** + The candidate must possess a Secret security clearance or have the ability to obtain one; US Citizenship required **Required Skills:** + **The candidate must have experience related in fabrication, repairing, and testing of electro-mechanical hardware (CCA’s, wiring harnesses, cables, test fixtures, LRU’s)** + Must have a solid understanding of Electronics Theory and applications plus an ability to read and understand schematics + IPC and J-Standard certification a plus + Must have experience with SMT and PTH soldering and operation of basic test equipment such as meters and oscilloscopes + Experience with functional and environmental testing a plus + Tactical Cable building + Experience working with Microsoft Windows environment + Must be self-motivated and able to work with little or no supervision REQNUMBER: 2507968 SAIC is a premier technology integrator, solving our nation's most complex modernization and systems engineering challenges across the defense, space, federal civilian, and intelligence markets.
