Job Description:

Mars Chocolate Ballarat has a fixed term contract opportunity for an Electrical Technician to join our Reliability experts who provide ongoing maintenance & support that keep our wonderful Chocolate factory running smoothly. 

This role will work across our day shift teams to complete proactive maintenance tasks, support breakdowns based on business needs, and work with the broader Reliability team & Factory Operations. 

What are we looking for?

A-Grade Electrical License.

Proven ability to work in high-pressure environments.

Experience in Industrial/Manufacturing maintenance including automation controls & PLC programming.

Strong problem-solving skills.

Dynamic learner with flexibility to work across multiple areas.

Strong passion for safety & analytical capability.

Experience in food manufacturing an advantage.

What will be your key responsibilities?

Responds to breakdowns with agility, working with the relevant Shift & Line Managers to prioritise accordingly.

Complete preventative maintenance work orders and drive the continuous improvement of the SAP PM system, by ensuring accuracy and quality of information.

Completes planned maintenance works in scheduled windows, on time with no delays or impacts to restart.

Support the cross functional application of Mars Supply Excellence to drive continuous improvement.

Utilise SAP to record breakdowns to capture and communicate information effectively broader application of TRM in performing daily duties.

Identify and complete assigned actions driven by Hazard Escalations and Area Safety. Checks to ensure safe work environments for all associates.
