The Electrical Superintendent position is responsible for the scheduling, coordinating, and supervising of all onsite electrical sub contractors for projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
•\tPlan, assign, and coordinate project work with various electrical sub contractors to ensure continuous project workflow.
•\tDetermine method of construction, labor needs, material quantities, equipment needs, temporary power sources, and work schedule.
•\tComplete electrical package take-offs, prepare electrical estimates and determine project scope of work.
•\tMonitor work performance and productivity of craft sub contractors as assigned to ensure project rules, procedures, and safety requirements are maintained.
•\tAdvise sr level superintendent or project manager of potential problems and assist in resolution.
•\tMaintain communication with project staff, engineering, and supply chain management to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedule.
•\tAssist in the reporting of the job’s progress to the Project Manager; maintain communication with other departments as required.
•\tCoordinate with Supply Chain Management to issue purchase orders for all consumables, equipment and outside sub contractors.
•\tMaintain accountability for all electrical project functions including resources, budget, and schedule.
•\tEnsure all project work is completed in accordance with specifications, schedule, and safety.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:\t
Associates or Technical degree in related field required
Electrical license in various states preferred
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:\t
5 plus years electrical experience required
5 years industrial electrical experience required
Previous supervisory experience required
Microsoft Project experience required
Knowledge of National Electrical Code required
HART communicator experience preferred
Instrumentation experience preferred
AutoCAD experience preferred
SKILLS/ABILITIES:\t
Ability to read P&ID’s\t
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
Possess excellent computer skills utilizing MS Office products
Strong strategic, analytical, organizational skills
Acts with honesty and integrity
Ability to interact professionally and effectively with senior management
Ability to maintain good relationships with internal and external customers, use tact and diplomacy, and possess a customer service focus
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION
Must possess current, valid driver’s license with no restrictions. Up to 75% travel required or as needed. Ability to sit for long periods of time. Able to view computer screen for lengths at a time. Must be able to speak and listen clearly. Fine visual acuity to read for accuracy. May be exposed to loud noises, wet and humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic chemicals, extreme hot and cold depending on weather conditions. May be required to work in high, precarious places.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
