Electrical Specialist (Medium-Low Voltage)
Amentum is seeking an Electrical Specialist (Medium-Low Voltage) for multiple OCONUS locations contingent upon award. The Electrical Specialist (Medium/Low Voltage) is responsible for the maintenance, inspection, and repair of electrical systems, ensuring the efficient operation of medium and low voltage switchgear. This role is crucial for maintaining the safety and functionality of electrical systems in industrial and commercial environments. The specialist will work as part of a team to ensure systems meet operational and safety standards. **Essential Responsibilities** + Perform maintenance and repairs on industrial and commercial electrical apparatus, focusing on medium and low voltage switchgear. + Conduct inspections and troubleshoot control circuitry to ensure optimal performance. + Collaborate with team members to address and resolve electrical system issues. + Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair work. + Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols during all operations. + Adapt to rotational shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required by operational needs. + Obtain and maintain necessary security clearances. **Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required** + Graduate from a technical, vocational, or trade school specializing in the electrical trade. + Certified Journeyman in a CONUS jurisdiction. + Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in the electrical trade, focusing on maintenance or construction. + Strong background in industrial and commercial electrical apparatus and control circuitry maintenance. + Extensive experience with medium and low voltage switchgear. + Thorough familiarity with electrical maintenance of equipment. + Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance at the start of the contract and a TS access within eight (8) months of contract award. **Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands** + Work is performed in various environments, including industrial and commercial settings. + Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting heavy equipment, and handling tools. + Mental demands include problem-solving, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure. + Willingness to work flexible hours, including rotational shifts, is essential. + Must adhere to strict safety and security protocols to ensure a safe working environment. + Other Responsibilities: **Safety** - Amentum enforces a safety culture whereby all employees have the responsibility for continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment.
