Asset Line Technicians are responsible for ensuring that asset machinery and equipment in manufacturing plants are running efficiently, conducting regular maintenance checks, troubleshooting problems and performing repairs & enhancements on equipment as needed. They are also responsible to install new machinery & equipment and ensure safe & efficient operation.

In this role you will:

Have overall ownership of the maintenance and reliability of the asset(s)

Achieve objectives / goals that align to the platform / asset(s)

Asset down planning, execution, cost management and reflection

During planned downs hours may be extended or modified to support an effective start-up

Standard work completion:

Maintenance rounds

Time confirmation

Execution of Daily Accountability Process assignments

Platform meeting attendance

Continuous improvement:

Support / Lead platform unplanned delay plan and execution

Lead problem solving for unplanned delay events

Preventative Maintenance Optimization

Grade change improvement

Autonomous Care

Support delivery of the site reliability maturity plan

Capability and Training:

Actively work towards improvement in technical capability by attending training, classes courses, demos, etc.

Support training others based on skillset

Partnering with Training team to ensure team members have adequate training and plans are executed for training in a timely manner.

Additional Support: 

Flow to work across plant based on need

Expected to provide off-hour support based on escalation, including both phone calls and in person support as needed

Vacation will need to be balanced across the platform / plant

Key Customers:

Internal to Plant: Platform Team, Reliability Team, Plant Leadership Team, Continuous Improvement & Capabilities Team, Logistics, Engineering Teams

Internal to Region: Supply Chain Operation Support Team, Supply Chain Value Stream Team and other KCNA Supply Chain Teams and Management, peers from other Kimberly-Clark Facilities, partners and vendors

Scope:

This role is responsible for asset machinery and equipment, reliability strategy execution at the asset level in alignment with the Plant and KCNA Reliability Strategy. The incumbent will work within platform teams comprised of employees from operations, engineering and maintenance. Incumbent will also work with other disciplines across the plant. This role will have interaction across the site and there may be opportunities to travel to additional KC locations. 

Objectives typically are focused at the plant level for safety, quality, continuous improvement, productivity, cost, asset management, and personal capability development. Incumbent reports to the Asset Leader.

This role is responsible for a complex asset base due to the number of assets, number of employees, asset complexity and/or business criticality. This role may also own a plant-wide process or standard.

Are 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States

Have a state and/or US Department of Education accredited high school diploma, GED Grade 12 certificate

Have either a 2-year related technical degree and 3+ years of industrial electrical work experience or 5+ years of industrial electrical work experience

Have basic computer knowledge, mechanical aptitude and good math skills

Are able to maintain a work schedule of 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime

Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and respond to call-ins as required to resolve equipment failures and to support planned shut-downs

Can pass a pre-employment assessment and a pre-employment drug + background screening

Can pass post-offer / pre-hire Physical Abilities Test (PAT)

Experience / Knowledge in the Principal Accountabilities listed in this job description

Meets the new hire requirements for Maintenance; determined by technical assessment(s) and interview(s)

The successful candidate will possess technical skills in as many of the following areas as possible:

Allen Bradley PLC’s: Control Logix Systems (Troubleshooting and Programming)

Allen Bradley software: RS Logix, RS View, Factory Talk, and RS NetWorx

Allen Bradley drives: PowerFlex AC and Kinetix

Networking and Communications: Mosaic, EtherNet, ControlNet, and DeviceNet

AC Drives, Motors, Encoder, and Resolver troubleshooting

ABB Robots (Troubleshooting and Programming)

Cognex vision system (Troubleshooting and Programming)

Calibration of flow controllers, pressure devices, level controls, and control valves

General mechanical skills: including changing belts, bearings, and alignment jobs

Starting Hourly Wage: $42.63 USD

At Kimberly-Clark, pay is just one aspect of our total rewards package, which also includes a variety of benefits and opportunities to achieve, thrive and grow. This position is eligible for the starting wage listed above, overtime pay and available pay increases within your first year.  You’ll also enjoy a full benefits package, including our 401(k) and Profit-Sharing plan. Please note that the stated pay rate applies to US locations only.
