Job DescriptionAs a Project Manager, you will oversee a larger volume of projects with varying levels of complexity. Your role involves managing multiple projects concurrently, aligning them with organizational and executive objectives to achieve operational and financial goals.
ResponsibilitiesManage a portfolio of complex projects across various sectors and business lines.Provide on-site leadership for project teams, motivating members to meet goals and adhere to responsibilities and milestones.Ensure alignment of multiple related projects to strategic objectives.Report on project success criteria, metrics, and deployment management activities.Demonstrate strong knowledge in construction costs and project financial projections.Accurately forecast project costs, including materials and labor hours.Identify scope creep to mitigate risks and manage design errors and project change orders.Sell project change orders and increase margins.Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.Establish practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships to enhance organizational capabilities.Prepare detailed project plans and estimates for all project phases.Coordinate with general supervisors to review and set expectations for revised project labor hours.Procure resources to achieve project objectives within planned timeframes.Manage day-to-day project activities and communicate requirements and impacts to leadership.Monitor staff performance and complete performance reviews.Provide status reports on project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues.Analyze adherence to project execution processes.Support solutions that align with client goals and code requirements.Act as an internal quality control check for projects.Manage ongoing quality control and participate in issue resolution.Assist in disputes, negotiations, arbitrations, or litigation as needed.Support schedule management of engagement contracts.Ensure project specifications for installation are understood by the team.Develop and manage all aspects of projects, including planning, vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, changes, risks, and issues.Delegate tasks and responsibilities appropriately.Monitor, track, and control outcomes to resolve issues and conflicts.Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project teams.Deliver effective executive-level communication.Ensure projects and programs proceed according to scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.Conduct research into project-related issues and products.Learn, understand, and apply new technologies.Support a diverse and inclusive work environment.Essential Skills7+ years of experience preferred in a project management role within the electrical construction industry.5+ years of experience with full product lifecycle and technology methodologies.Journeyman or master electrical license preferred.Strong leadership, diplomatic, and motivational skills.Ability to lead across organizational verticals.Creative and analytical problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project Sight, Procore, and Blue Beam.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience negotiating with vendors and subcontractors.Experience drafting and submitting budget proposals.Proven ability to lead projects to on-time, on-schedule, and within budget.Experience managing various project teams, including internal and external resources.Strong experience presenting to technical and non-technical staff.Ability to influence and gain buy-in from executives and stakeholders.Team-building skills with technical and non-technical staff.Experience working independently and collaboratively.Work Environment
The position is full-time in an office environment with occasional visits to job sites. The role requires familiarity with software such as Accubid, BlueBeam, and Procore. Projects are primarily located in Fairfield, New Haven, Hartford, and Litchfield counties, covering commercial, healthcare, and multifamily sectors with budgets ranging from $1k to $16M.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
