Job Description

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, diagnose problems and repair machines. Familiarity with metric and standard hand tools and able to safely and properly use to dismantle and reassemble equipment using hand and power tools. Drive a Safety culture.  Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts. Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears and other parts Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts. Follow all plant rules and be coachable.  Consistently maintain a clean work environment in the maintenance shop and in the production area where working. Basic Qualifications

1-3 years' experience with Lock-Out-Tag out procedures and be willing to wear PPE. Will work in a plywood mill as an Electrician. Must possess the knowledge to work with Allen-Bradley programmable logic controllers (PLC), as well as the ability to troubleshoot/change electric motors, diagnose chart recorders, Honeywell controllers, MTS and various sizes of transformers. Must have Controls/PLC /Allen- Bradley Experience Industrial Electrical Troubleshooting must have working knowledge of shop math and blueprint reading, relay logic systems, circuit breakers, Able to walk throughout the plant, climb ladders, twist, and bend routinely. Lift and move up to 75 pounds on a routine basis using proper lifting techniques. Demonstrate the ability to terminate relays. Demonstrated ability to install and troubleshoot pushbutton and selector switch circuits. Ability to read assembly drawings, mechanical schematics. Demonstrate the ability to safely use:  a drill press and tap a hole, cut metal stock with bandsaw, use pipe cutting and threading equipment-both with hand dies and motorized machine. Demonstrate the ability to: determine if a piece of equipment is grounded.

General Skills   

Gain Knowledge of general plant layout. Follow all plant rules and be coachable. Consistently maintain a clean work environment in the maintenance shop and in the production area where working. Demonstrate ability to work with upper-level technicians and supervision on regular PMs and repairs. Demonstrate procedure for checking fuses, wiring single and three phase low voltage motors. Demonstrate use of drill press, bandsaw, bench grinder, soldering iron and other basic hand and power tools. Demonstrate procedure for safe handling of all tools and machinery throughout the facility.
