Team Overview and Job Responsibilities
Our HQ R&D Lab in Milan is looking for a Electrical Lab Research and Qualifications Engineer who will have the following responsibilities:
Oversee the correct planning, preparation and execution of the electrical qualification tests carried in the R&D laboratories of Prysmian Group based in Italy, France and UK and external Labs.
Support the R&D laboratories for the respect of the planning and correct execution by assuring the compliance with the customer specification in terms of correct equipment and testing method.
Continuously interact with the laboratory managers for the preparation of the correct test assembly and test setup in order to avoid delay and fault due to not correct preparation/execution of the test.
Be in charge to perform both development and qualification tests and oversee test setups preparation
Support supervise installation team that is in charge of assembling High Voltage and Medium Voltage accessories
Prepare informative and accurate technical reports, update and maintain records/database on performed tests.
Manage costumers and inspectors and support system design teams.
Work to tight deadlines and contributes to longer term R&D projects.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a candidate with the following skills and competencies:
A master’s degree in Electric or Electronic Engineering, Energy or Mechatronic;
Proactivity and accuracy;
Real passion for testing and laboratory activities;
Outstanding teamwork attitude;
Flexibility, adaptability, and problem-solving skills;
Fluent in English and Italian both written and spoken;
Willingness to travel also abroad
