An Electrical General Foreman is a supervisory role within electrical construction and maintenance. They oversee electrical crews, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and according to plans and codes. This involves coordinating with project managers, supervising electricians, resolving technical issues, and managing schedules, budgets, and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Leading and managing electrical crews, delegating tasks, and ensuring adherence to safety standards and project specifications. Working with project managers, other foremen, and subcontractors to coordinate workflow and maintain project timelines. Troubleshooting electrical problems, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring quality control. Managing materials, equipment, and labor to ensure efficient project execution. Enforcing safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Guiding and training electricians in safety protocols and job skills.Skills and Qualifications:
Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and installation practices. Ability to identify and resolve technical and personnel issues. Effective communication with team members, project managers, and other stakeholders. Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and enforcing safety regulations. Typically requires several years of experience in electrical work and some supervisory experience.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: May require lifting, climbing, and working in various environments. The base hourly range for this role is $57,500 to $86,200. This range represents the low and high end of the base hourly range for this position. The actual base rate offered will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.
