JOB OVERVIEW:
This position will manage and provide on-site supervision of all working Foremen and technical leads in the field. They will ensure a safe, productive, and quality job is attained and costs are controlled in the construction discipline. The GF will be responsible for independent decision making without the availability of other supervision. The GF will schedule all labor, materials, tools, equipment within their work discipline and effectively utilize all resources. The GF is the individual who ensures work is completed in accordance to the specifications and contract requirements.
Electrical: Provides input and technical expertise for power generating construction projects. Support of Engineering review, procurement (if necessary), construction, and start-up of a high or medium voltage electrical system and associated substation (if necessary).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Supervises and sets direction for all Foremen and technical leads on-site to ensure best use of all company resources; and adherence to all company policies and state and federal regulations. Provides formal coaching feedback to Foremen as well as regular informal feedback to Field Engineers. Schedules equipment, materials and tools to effectively utilize all resources and to maximize production and minimize costs after becoming familiar with scope of work and site conditions. Collaborates with Trade Superintendent on all scheduled activities. Manages, coaches, trains and implements standardized Work Plans and Work Methods. Assists Trade Superintendent in process improvement efforts. Acts as a technical consultant to all field personnel in the areas of, electrical circuits, power quality, switchgear installations, inter-connect systems, auxiliary power and high voltage terminations. Manages and is responsible for safe working conditions and safety procedures on the project, more particularly for specific discipline. Understands and enforces company, jobsite specific, federal, and state safety regulations on site and addresses any concerns with Trade Superintendent. Will be responsible within work discipline for the utilization of best safety practices: the management of employee training for work methods, emphasis on special risks, cranes, lifting, DOT requirements, site conditions, telehandlers, JHA’s, accident injury management, electrical safety hazard, LOTO, arc flash (all as apply). Communicates with Trade Superintendent to update him/her on project problem areas and the specific status of the project. Collaborates with Trade Superintendent to plan and staff (hiring, promoting, disciplining, terminating) trade employees through the proper utilization of company resources, processes and policies. Conducts oneself with professional and respectful demeanor while interacting with all internal and external individuals. The General Foreman is expected to create a collaborative environment with front line supervision, craft, subcontractors, vendors, and the Owner to continually improve the company’s delivery performance. Compares labor and equipment production and efficiency to the job estimate for specific discipline and informs the Trade Superintendent of cost over-runs and the utilization of company resources. The General Foreman is accountable for verifying that the project construction activities and project engineering are in conformance with the project Quality Plan, and Work Methods. General Foremen are responsible for establishing, aligning, and communicating the project specifications and craftsmanship expectations to all craft workers, vendors, subcontractors, and other agents. Mentors other professional positions such as Field Coordinator/Field Engineers and Foremen on work discipline, production costs, scope of work, quality, and safety. Understands scope of work per the contract. Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction. Maintain crew and equipment matrixes, comparing information back to established Work Plans and updating Operations Analysis as needed Familiarize themselves with site conditions.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a valid driver license and an acceptable motor vehicle driving record (MVR). Ability to manage and supervise multiple employees. Thorough knowledge of tools and equipment uses and limitations. Good communication skills to deal with owners and employees. Relocation to community of project site is required. May be required to become a qualified individual in pursuit of a company contract licensing, or journeyman or master electrician license. Ability to read and understand prints and contract documents. Knows and understand the required federal and state codes for the project. Previous utility-scale BESS, solar, substation or related construction management experience required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must comply with client safety requirements (e.g., clean-shaven, long sleeves, steel-toe boots). Must pass a physical exam if required. Able to: Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, and stairways. Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and work at heights or in confined spaces (e.g., towers, vessels, excavations). Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. (Use assistance for heavier loads). Stand or walk for extended periods on uneven surfaces (dirt, concrete, asphalt, mud, gravel). Must be able to wear a respirator and other PPE when required.WORK LOCATION:
