**Description:** **What You Will Be Doing**
We are a leading defense contractor developing advanced technologies and mission\-critical systems that protect our nation and allies\. You will be a dynamic Engineering Lead to oversee a small but high\-impact internal electrical fabrication shop and electronics laboratory\. This is an opportunity to combine hands\-on technical expertise, operational leadership, and strategic vision to support complex engineering programs from prototype through production\.
Position Overview:
As the Engineering Lead, you will own the daily operations, technical direction, and long\-term capability development of our internal electronics laboratory\. You will guide a talented team of technicians and engineers, ensuring on\-time, on\-budget delivery of high\-quality electrical assemblies, test fixtures, and hardware verification efforts\. Your work will directly enable critical programs by maintaining state\-of\-the\-art lab capabilities, ensuring compliance, and driving continuous improvement\.
Key Responsibilities:
Laboratory & Operations Management
Oversee daily workflows, scheduling, and resource allocation within the electronics lab\.
Manage the lab budget, equipment inventory, procurement, and preventative maintenance programs\.
Ensure full compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, audits, and regulatory requirements\.
Develop and maintain tools for efficient lab utilization, scheduling, and project visibility\.
Plan for business continuity through critical equipment redundancies, capacity expansion, and modernization initiatives\.
Technical Leadership
Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of technical excellence and accountability\.
Partner with design/product engineering teams to troubleshoot issues, develop verification test procedures, and fabricate electrical test equipment\.
Coordinate projects with internal customers, ensuring cost, schedule, and quality objectives are met\.
Drive the team’s support for environmental, EMI, and system\-level testing from prototype through qualification\.
Serve as the lab’s subject matter expert for electrical fabrication and test methodologies\.
Documentation & Compliance
Ensure testing records and end\-item data packages are accurately maintained and easily accessible for customer review\.
Support basis\-of\-estimate development in response to requests for proposals \(RFPs\)\.

**Basic Qualifications:**
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred
• Proficiency in software tools such as Office, JIRA, etc\.
**Desired Skills:**
• Proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders across multiple functions and levels\.
• Technical Skills:
o Knowledge of electrical and mechanical fabrication techniques and requirements
o Experience with or knowledge of lab equipment \(oscilloscope, power supply, signal/network/impedance analyzers\) is helpful
• Leadership and Soft Skills:
o Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills\.
o Ability to coordinate multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities\.
o Exceptional verbal and written communication, negotiation, and critical thinking skills\.
o Experience managing small and large\-scale programs and projects\.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team\.
**Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\.

**Ability to Work Remotely:** Onsite Full\-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility\.
**Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.
**Schedule for this Position:** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
