Working from Toronto or London Stantec’s office is preferrable. **Your Capabilities and Credentials** + Experience working for Toronto Hydro Street Lighting/Distribution Relocations and understanding of the Standard Design Practices Manual (SDP), latest Toronto Hydro Construction Standards and Toronto Hydro Technical Specifications for civil construction work are mandatory. Experience working with additional utilities is an asset. + High proficiency and demonstrated competence in computer drafting using MicroStation and AutoCAD. Specialized training courses in either is an asset. + Proficient knowledge of overhead and underground distribution system design is required. This includes routine engineering calculations such as transformer loading, cable ampacity, conduit filling, voltage drop for radial systems and underground cable pulling calculations. + Knowledge of lighting photometric calculations and experience with photometric software AGI32 and ANSI/IES RP-8 standards is required. Proficiency in additional lighting software is an asset. + Proficiency with pole modeling software SpidaCalc is required. PLS-CADD proficiency is an asset. + Knowledge of, and proficient in, the use and application of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code and relevant industry standards including CSA, IEEE, IEC, ANSI and NEMA. + Knowledge of CSA 22.3 No.1 for overhead systems and CSA C220.3 No.7 for underground systems. + Experience working with third party utility permitting applications and utility coordination process is an asset. + Valid Class G' Driver's license in the Province of Ontario. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel. + Experience using SAP is considered an asset. + Proactive, highly motivated and fast learner. + Attentive to project scope, schedule, budget and delivering a high-quality product. **Education And Experience** + Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or an equivalent combination of education and related experience. + Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in planning and design within the utilities distribution and street lighting industry, specifically with LDC’s such as Toronto Hydro, Alectra Utilities, GrandBridge Energy (GBE), ENWIN. **Pay Transparency:** In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
