**Job Title:** Electrical Engineer III
**Location:** Edmonton or Calgary, AB
Our client is seeking an Electrical Engineer III to join their team. As an Electrical Engineer III, you will be part of a dynamic engineering department supporting various projects. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully within the organization.
**Job Description:**
+ Own and manage the relationship and contracts with Engineering Services Providers (ESP), ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
+ Lead the design review process with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, codes, and company specifications.
+ Spearhead the specification and requisition of materials by reviewing vendor material quotations and evaluating technical bids.
+ Support planning and scheduling during the design and procurement phases of the project for timely execution.
+ Provide comprehensive technical support during all project phases, including development, design, construction, and commissioning.
**Qualifications:**
+ Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in designing power distribution systems for Oil and Gas facilities.
+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
+ Professional Engineer designation with APEGA, or eligibility to register.
+ Demonstrated planning, organizational, and decision-making skills.
+ In-depth working knowledge of national codes (CEC and NEC) and industry standards such as API, IEEE, UL, etc.
