Job Description
We are seeking a talented electrical engineer/generalist to join our team and work on the electrical engineering of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). The role involves working on battery sets, creating electrical engineering drawings, conducting studies, and performing QA/QC for BESS projects being engineered and constructed in various locations, including MN, AZ, CA, UT, and TX.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and manage electrical engineering drawings for battery energy storage systems.Conduct studies and ensure quality assurance/quality control for BESS projects.Track and manage projects using relevant software tools, including Microsoft Project.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.Engage in continuous learning to eventually obtain a Professional Engineer (PE) license.Essential SkillsBachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).0-5 years of recent relevant electrical engineering experience in battery energy storage systems or related fields such as substation, renewables, or transmission engineering.Proficiency in battery storage systems and electrical engineering principles.Interest and ability to obtain a Professional Engineer (PE) license in the future.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Microsoft Project and other project management software.Located in Minnesota is a plus.Strong interest in renewables and energy storage projects.Work Environment
This position offers a hybrid work environment based in Minnesota, with the option for fully remote work for candidates with relevant experience. Remote employees are required to travel to Minnesota four times a year. The headquarters is located in Lakeville, MN. Local employees have the flexibility to work in the office at their discretion, provided performance metrics are met. The company specializes in substation, transmission, renewables, SCADA, and battery storage systems, with a backlog of work extending through 2026-2027.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $43.00/hr.
