Electrical Engineer

Job Description:

Work within the existing framework of a legacy product line to update electrical control systems with intelligent design to improve functionality, efficiency, reduce complexity, and drive profitability and safety. Become a subject matter leader by refining existing products, processes and designing the next generation of ventilation controls. Work with internal and external customers to produce innovative solutions on product and application levels. Work hands-on with manufacturing to communicate improvements and facilitate best in class manufacturing.

Essential Skills:

Working knowledge of relay logic, high/low voltage systems, wiring sizing, branch circuit protection & solid-state electrical components.Knowledge of PLC ladder logic and prior experience with programming.  Allen Bradley and Panasonic preferred.UL 508A branch and enclosure experience, (UL/NEMA/IP), SCCR and AIC rating and their design.Cursory knowledge of high/low voltage PCB board design processes.Identify existing components & control systems from products within the family of brands that can be utilized to improve functionality, (e.g. IoT connectivity).Knowledge of UL, NEC, NFPA 70, or other related standardsKnowledge of HTML, C++, Linex preferred.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field.AutoCAD or other experience in drawing schematics.Ability to generate & read complex electrical schematics and understand their practical assembly.Cursory understanding of components of solid-state circuits as well as analog & digital control systems.Prior experience in programing PLCs.Prior experience with development of PCBs and other integrated circuits for electrical systems.Team player with the ability to work in a manufacturing environment to meet customer deadlines.Professional, reliable & personable, with great attention to detail & organizational skills.

Preferred Skills (not required):

Capacity to fabricate plumbing & natural gas systems, Stainless steel welding and/or fabrication.Previous background or hobby with engines, sensors, controls, recreational vehicles, cars systems, or other related technologies.Prior experience working with ERP systems (SYSPRO preferred).

Compensation Information:

Exempt: $75,000 - $85,000 Annual
