Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours/week (Monday–Friday)

Role Overview

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at MOD Corsham. You will work across a range of Mitie clients, performing electrical safety checks, PAT testing, planned maintenance, and reactive repairs.

Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs on electrical systems. Ensure compliance with current electrical regulations and company policies. Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules. Respond to reactive maintenance tasks and emergencies. Conduct safety checks and ensure efficient system operation. Diagnose faults and implement timely repairs. Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment. Provide technical advice and maintain accurate work records. Collaborate with other trades and subcontractors. Person Specification

To be successful in this role, you will need a breadth of experience in electrical maintenance and installation work. The ideal candidate will have completed a time-served apprenticeship and hold the following qualifications:

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electro-technical apprenticeship C&G 236 Parts 1 & 2 or C&G 2365 Level 2 & 3 AM2 Current BS7671 Certificate (18th Edition) C&G 2391 Testing & Inspecting Health & Safety (IOSH Working Safely) Asbestos Awareness Ability to work from engineering drawings Strong understanding of electrical principles, installation, and maintenance operations Full, current driving licence IT literate with good customer service skills Physically able to carry out the duties required Health & Safety Responsibilities Follow all company policies and procedures. Report any deficiencies or risks to health, safety, or service delivery. Use equipment and PPE correctly. Report issues or training needs to your line manager.
