Job Description
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer who understands customer requirements and can identify the right solutions and components for those solutions. This role involves communication with vendors and collaboration with the commodity team to bring prototypes from vendors, setting up and running tests, and designing integration into mechanical systems, including wiring diagrams and instructions for the production team.
ResponsibilitiesUnderstand customer requirements and identify suitable solutions.Select appropriate components for the solutions.Communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams.Collaborate with the commodity team to obtain prototypes from vendors.Set up and conduct tests to ensure product functionality.Design integration into mechanical systems, including wiring diagrams and instructions.Manage documentation such as BOMs and work instructions.Essential SkillsElectrical engineering expertise.Experience in product development life cycle.Proficiency in document management and wiring diagrams.Capability in integration design and product development from inception to completion.Strong vendor and internal communication skills.Knowledge of bill of materials and software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to communicate effectively with diverse teams including Electrical, Mechanical, Product Management, Marketing, and Vendors.Experience in purchasing and configuring electrical components for integration into mechanical systems.Work Environment
The role is primarily office-based, with occasional work required in an off-site test lab. This position offers an opportunity to advance your knowledge in different product areas and potential for permanent placement based on performance.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $60.00/hr.
