Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to contribute to the MEP backlog of work. This role involves starting new projects and addressing backlog needs for various initiatives, particularly in compliance with the New York State Building Codes and industry standards.
ResponsibilitiesPerform engineering design calculations and evaluations specific to building codes.Lead project engineering design with a strong understanding of NYS Building Codes and industry-standard recommendations.Design electrical systems from pre-schematic phase, including energy modeling analysis and code compliance calculations.Conduct life cycle cost analysis and provide opinions on probable costs.Document existing conditions during field site visits across upstate regions, with mileage reimbursement offered.Provide construction administration support, including submittal reviews, RFI responses, site visits for compliance, and punch listing.Occasional travel is required, with mileage reimbursed at GSA rates.Engage in projects related to K-12 or Federal work.Essential SkillsProficiency in Revit.Electrical Engineering degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.Experience in electrical design and engineering.EIT or FE certification, or actively pursuing certification.Ability to work semi-independently with minimal guidance.Additional Skills & QualificationsPE certification preferred but not required.EIT certification is highly desirable.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $52.88/hr.
