Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Job Description

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer with over five years of experience to create a capacitive pressure sensor integrated into flexible/stretchable electrical circuits. This groundbreaking product will be used in humanoid robotics for home use, enhancing their spatial awareness and interaction with objects.

ResponsibilitiesLead the electrical design and architecture of a capacitive pressure sensor, transitioning it from prototype to production.Collaborate with mechanical engineers to analyze the current prototype, identify limitations, and implement electrical improvements.Design front-end electronics for signal conditioning, analog-to-digital conversion, and interface circuitry.Lead iterative development cycles, including PCB design, assembly, testing, and debugging.Write and refine firmware to process sensor data and ensure reliable communication with embedded systems.Evaluate and integrate System-on-Chip components optimized for capacitive sensing.Apply knowledge of mutual and self-capacitance, including electric field control and ground plane strategies, to optimize performance.Package the sensor and electronics into existing product architectures with a focus on manufacturability and robustness.Essential SkillsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.5+ years of experience in electrical hardware design and product development.Demonstrated experience with capacitive sensing or similar sensor technologies.Proficiency in PCB design tools, especially Altium Designer.Strong foundation in analog/digital circuit design and low-noise techniques.Experience with SoC architectures in sensor applications.Excellent problem-solving skills in both hardware and firmware contexts.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with sensor calibration, characterization, and environmental testing.Familiarity with DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFT (Design for Testability).Knowledge of industry standards and certifications for electronic products.Experience with developing both the software and hardware side of sensors.Experience working with SoC's, or a microcontroller that drives a sensor.Experience with low pass/high pass filtering, signal-to-noise ratio, and working with ADC.Experience with any firmware language, and writing programs for sensor control and data acquisition.Work Environment

The work environment is hybrid, with three days on-site. It is fast-paced and dynamic, focusing on research and development. Emphasizing hands-on, iterative development, team members are encouraged to be self-driven and proactive. Collaboration is key, with close teamwork required to integrate and optimize systems.
