Entry-Level Distribution Engineer / Technician

About the Role
We are seeking motivated individuals with an ABET-accredited Engineering degree to join our team as Distribution Engineers and Technicians. This is an exciting opportunity to launch your career in the power distribution industry, with hands-on training and mentorship from experienced engineers.
You’ll be responsible for performing engineering calculations, supporting design development, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality utility distribution projects. This role is primarily office-based (90% design coordination), with occasional fieldwork (10%) after initial training.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform engineering calculations: pole structural analysis, guying, cable pulling, electric demand, fault currents, and protective device coordination.Prepare forestry trimming requests and assist with permitting and Right-of-Way acquisition.Develop Bills of Materials (BOM) and cost estimates.Collaborate with Designers, Engineers, and Technicians in a team-oriented environment.Must-Have Skills & QualificationsABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering (no outstanding credits).Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software (Revit, SolidWorks, MicroStation, etc.).Strong interest in Power Utilities and Distribution.Valid driver’s license.Preferred SkillsExperience with MATLAB, Inventor, or other engineering tools.Leadership and teamwork capabilities.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $29.32 - $29.32/hr.
