Also, our ability to provide clear and detailed input to Hub on design work is restricted. • This is slowing down our engineering workflow and holding up our ongoing efforts to drive standardization and reduce rework. • Coordination gaps between the MV PE and ED teams can be addressed by having this resource collaborate holistically with our current MV PE SME to identify improvement areas (like macros) to the EBASE team. • A dedicated role with deep EBASE design work expertise can go a long way to bridge this gap – improving quality and accelerate ongoing standardization initiatives across MV product lines. Key Responsibilities for MV ED SME • Serve as a trusted change advisor to engineering business stakeholders by building strong relationships and collaborating to solve complex challenges for ongoing and future R&D/Product Care projects. • Be associated with all Product Standardization, Technical product ownership and Product Maintenance Projects. • Provide subject matter expertise on Medium Voltage engineered products when representing the department in cross-functional projects and key meetings. • Analyze, identify, and define standardization opportunities across various MV products and engineering platforms (EBASE). • Lead quality assurance efforts from an Electrical Design perspective, including developing standards for block creation and promoting a consistent approach to block standardization. • Engage in high-impact activities such as evaluating EBASE space constraints and aligning components for optimal panel arrangements for standard switchgears. • Support ED Knowledge Database (ED KDB) development and maintenance activities as needed by the engineering teams. • Define and implement the best practices for ED wiring teams across all MV product lines. • Drive specific preventative actions OCNs related to Electrical Design for tasks requiring high degree of technical expertise only (R&D related).
