Job Description
The Electrical Designer position involves the development of comprehensive electrical construction packages, along with all necessary support documentation. The role includes creating single line drawings, motor schematics, equipment and conduit layouts, and interlock details. The designer will perform field walk downs to verify work before design and lead all levels of drawing package reviews. Drawings will be developed using AutoCAD. This position will also interface with the client’s team to support design efforts at a refinery, ensuring submitted packages meet design requirements and proper submission of final deliverables.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop electrical construction packages and support documentation.Create single line drawings, motor schematics, equipment and conduit layouts, and interlock details.Perform field walk downs to verify work prior to design.Lead all levels of drawing package reviews.Develop drawings using AutoCAD.Locate reference drawings and ensure submitted packages meet customer design requirements.Ensure proper submission of final deliverables.Essential SkillsProficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.At least 8-10 years of experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a refinery or heavy industrial plant environment.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to work well with other disciplines.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with project budgets and report analysis.Knowledge of electrical design, electrical schematic, and refinery operations.Capability in utility design and construction, substation design and construction.Possession of professional engineering credentials.Work Environment
The candidate will work at client site in Memphis, TN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60.00 - $102.00/hr.
