Join us and design your place with Stantec. **Your Opportunity** The Electrical Designer position will assist the lead Electrical Engineer with the electrical design and drafting for the buildings engineering group. The position will be located in Stantec's Winnipeg office. **Your Key Responsibilities** + Produce aspects of electrical design and construction documents in Revit and/or AutoCAD while working with Senior Electrical Engineers and other Electrical Designers + Ensure designs meet applicable codes and regulations + Perform calculations using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software (Visual, SKM, etc) + Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams during design and construction + Maintain effective communication and cooperation with and among these partners + Perform construction field reviews and interact with contractors + Support project managers to ensure projects stay within established budget constraints + Maintain high satisfaction rating from clients through superior service, quality workmanship, timely production and thorough understanding of client requirements + Perform other duties as assigned by the senior engineering staff. **Your Capabilities and Credentials** + Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit with a strong focus on Revit + Professional Engineering license is a plus + LEED accredited professional is a plus + Strong written and verbal communication skills + Must be organized to be able to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments + Ability to work independently as well as within a diverse team of staff and consultants + Commitment to excellence and high standards **Education and Experience** Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred 3+ years design experience in electrical design for Retail/Commercial related projects Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may require travel and include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
