Electrical Design Engineer

If you are an Electrical Design Engineer professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! As an Electrical Design Engineer based in our Shakopee, MN location, you will be responsible for the design, development, and support of industry-leading measurement & analytical instrumentation.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Work with cross-functional teams to support the development of Emerson’s Automation Solutions products Utilize electrical design and development tools used in capturing circuit design schematics, laying out printed circuit boards, and performing circuit simulations. Perform a variety of electronic testing using common laboratory equipment. Research and develop new ideas and technologies for implementation into our products Evaluate Emerson systems and electronic circuits to a functional block or component level  Who You Are:

For This Role, You Will Need: Bachelors in Electrical Engineering Zero (0) years of applicable experience Legal authorization to work in the United States   Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart: Knowledge and experience using standard electrical test tools including oscilloscopes, bench power suppliers, digital multimeters and function generators Familiarity with Cadence Schematic Capture and PCB layout tools Familiarity with electronic simulation tools (e.g. PSpice) Familiarity with data acquisition using LabView, C#  Our Culture & Commitment to You:

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The starting salary for this role is $76,000-80,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities and experience each candidate brings to a role.
