**Job Description**
**Electrical Engineer – Battery Power Distribution Unit (PDU) Design**
**Job Summary**
We are looking for an enthusiastic Electrical Engineer to lead and support the design and development of Battery Power Electronic Module (PEMs)/Power Distribution Units (PDUs). You will work on Electrical design, component selection, and integration with Battery Management Systems (BMS), contributing to safe and efficient battery-powered solutions. This role offers hands-on experience in a collaborative, fast-paced environment focused on energy storage and electrification.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Design and development of LV and HV Battery PDUs for energy storage and electrification applications.
+ Requirement documentation, PDU layout , packaging, Busbar/ cable design, Clearence and Creepage requirement
+ Development of AC/DC circuits, power supplies, and voltage regulation systems.
+ Design of analog and digital circuits, including communication protocol interfaces.
+ Component selection, validation, and testing for HV and LV systems.
+ Prepare and maintain design documentation, schematics, and test reports.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams (BMS, mechanical, firmware, testing) for integration and validation.
+ Follow industry standards and safety regulations (UL, CE, IEC) in all design activities.
+ Support prototype builds, lab testing, and debugging activities.
**Core Technical Skills**
+ LV and HV architecture design for battery systems
+ Electrical & electronics design for battery PDUs
+ AC/DC circuit design, power supply development, voltage regulation
+ Analog and digital circuit design
+ HV and LV component selection and validation
+ Design documentation and version control
+ Sensor interface circuits
+ Relay and actuator driver circuits
+ Power supply circuits (0–48V DC, >48V–1000V DC, inverter, converter)
**Hands-on Tools Knowledge**
+ Schematic Design Tools: Altium Designer, Eagle, KiCAD, OrCAD, CREO
+ Circuit Simulation Tools: LTSpice, Proteus, PSpice, MATLAB, Simulink
+ Testing Tools: Multimeter, Oscilloscope, Signal Generator, CANOE
**Additional Skills**
+ Basics of embedded systems (microcontrollers, ADCs, GPIO)
+ Communication protocol circuit design (CAN, RS232, RS485, MODBUS)
+ Familiarity with BMS protocols and integration
+ Knowledge of industrial wiring standards
+ ESD and EMI/EMC circuit protection techniques
+ Understanding of global safety and compliance standards (UL, CE, IEC)

**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and minimum of 6 years of experience
+ Masters’s degree in electrical engineering and a minimum of 3 years of experience
Additional information: This position requires working onsite five days a week
